"If you enjoy Western Swing music from the 1940's and 1950's, then you'll be happy you purchased this CD. I guess Hank Penny is not as well known today as others from those days, when this kind of music was a big craze on the West Coast, probably due to the preponderence of Western movies made in Hollywood: Bob Wills, Spade Cooley, or Tex Williams, but this music swings just as much. I would say he most closely sounds like another great Western Swing star, Merle Travis. Upbeat, uptempo music with nice guitars (electric and pedal steel)."
