CD Reviews

Spectacular Album

"This group, The Sixteen, is a very accomplished collection of singers. Their clear voices sound like boy sopranos.

We now have three of their albums. We love this Renaissance Music genre."
Beautifully recorded and rendered Coronation Anthems

"Of the many recordings of the Handel: Coronation Anthems in my library, this album is most likely the best. The recording technique, the blend of voices and make up of the choir(s) is musically superior resulting in a glorious listening experience."

"This is as fine a recording of the Coronation Anthems as you'll find, and the disc is filled out with other well-chosed pieces that fit in to provide a thematic whole. The playing of the period orchestra is lively and crisp, as is the diction of the choir. You're spoiled for choice with all the good recordings available. You won't go wrong if this is a first or one of many in your collection."
