"Perfect for massage or if you just want something to relax to. Eastern feel with temple bells, flutes, vocals."

"Guy Sweens is a (Divinely inspired) one-man musical machine. The liner notes say "all music composed, arranged, performed, produced, mixed, and recorded by Guy Sweens". The instruments that he plays on this CD include the sitar, dulcimer, koto, santur, tampura, malay bunga seruling flute, shakuhachi flute, indian bass and alto flute, strings, tabla, bass guitar, various percussion, tibetan bowls, and indian vocals.

For the most part I'm not one for much of the "new age" music out there that's largely made up of artificial sounding techy/spacey/whirley/robotic/inorganic synthesizer, keyboard, and computer work. I generally gravitate towards, and far prefer, more natural sounding and organically made music; music that's made with traditional instruments. While Guy does incorporate the computer synthesized stuff, there's lots of "actual" instrumentation on this CD, and I find myself really loving his music. He blends everything together very well, with the end result being very calming, relaxing, soothing, and peaceful.

If you enjoy music along the lines of Karunesh, Rasa, Riley Lee, Sudha, Tulku, Nawang Khechog, Craig Pruess, Deva Premal, Bahramji, or Benjy Wertheimer, Guy's "Gaya of Wisdom" will be right up your alley. In fact, I personally think this CD is on par with the best of the above mentioned artists releases. By that, I mean how spiritually uplifting it is (because that's what really matters).

In short, it's beautiful devotional music that'll promote higher levels of consciousness, so give it a try!"
