A very good representation of this genre of music
(4 out of 5 stars)
"Having been bred on rock n' roll through most of my life, I am uncertain why I am drawn so inexorably toward this type of music. It must be due, in part, to the inherantly sweet sound of the dulcimer. It is played nicely here in conjunction with other instruments such as the fiddle, banjo, etc. and acts as a nice compliment to all of them. There is nothing profound here. It is merely good, early American music showing well its Celtic roots. It'svery soft, sweet and soothing and, even in its livelier moments, quite relaxed. Some of the tunes, such as Lochaber No More, are rather touching. If you fight traffic to and from work each day, or experience other tentions, this can be a soothing antidote."
