Brazilian group Muzenza, one of the most renowned capoeira groups in the world, pays tribute to the martial art disguised as dance, invented by African slaves who were exploited on the plantations of Brazil in the sixteenth century. Berimbau, reco-reco, pandeiro, agogo, and atabaque provide the rhythms for its different movements. Capoeira is a cultural expression that symbolizes the freedom and dignity of the oppressed.
