Grobschnitt from Hagen are one of the most successful and wildest acts in the history of German rock music. Their trademark was their lavish stage show and a good helping of high spirits. 1975 saw the band release their third LP, Jumbo , recorded at Krautrock mastermind Conny Plank s newly-built studio. As usual, vocalist Willi Wildschwein sang all the lyrics in English. The band later tentatively translated them into German, and one year later the album was re-released, this time featuring German lyrics an absolute novelty on the German music scene. (Eroc claimed in the liner notes that Willi Wildschwein was glad to be able to understand at long last what he was actually singing about.) The CD reissue features both versions, as well as two bonus tracks.
