The Greatest Hits Of Burt Bacharach, Made In England, A Majo

"The Greatest Hits Of Burt Bacharach is the first time I remember coming across a number of recordings Burt Bacharach did in England during the middle 60's.

Burt Bacharach isn't the type who lives in the past, when posed, he looks back fondly to when he lived in Great Britain around '65.

It was a turning point for me to discover these recordings.

Only Love Can Break A Heart Timi Yuro always commands my devout attention.

I Cry Alone Maxine Brown is a rarity.

You're Telling Our Secrets Dee Clark is an undisclosed gem.

It's the first time I remember hearing Billy J. Kramer & The Dakotas, and The Merseybeats.

There's all kinds of surprises.

I Wake Up Crying Gene Chandler makes an appearance.

Right up there with rare versions by Cliff Richards and Del Shannon on other compilations.

I respect the people who dug through the vaults for this particular album.

Features this Guy's In Love With You B.J. Thomas.

Two different versions of I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself, Tommy Hunt, and Big Maybelle.

That requires foresight. The people who produced this album are obviously huge fans.

Look for a live recording that pops up near the end.

If you've been lounging around, it'll catch you off guard.

The Look Of Love. Buddy Greco at the mike.

Imagine that.

The Greatest Hits Of Burt Bacharach.

Nice to have hits on both sides of the Atlantic.

Drinks are on the house.
