"Grace's voice at times soared,while her tone often gave much pleasure too.THis is not a perfect recording but a good one.I must admit at times her singing was not consistent and a little bland.But surely one of the greats!!!you go girl!!!!"

"The gold standard for mezzos/contraltos is Marian Anderson, followed by Kasarova and Verrett. Diva Bumbry is near the top, and her rendition of Gluck's "Divinites du Styx" is worth the price of this CD. Several other seldom-heard arias will please and surprise listeners, making them want to know more about these operas. Go for it! At age 60, I suddenly discovered opera after loving chiefly instrumental classics for 55 years."
