""Your Lingering Touch" is a charming collection of pieces from Govi's previous six albums on the Real Music label. Many "best of" albums have a rather haphazard feel to them, but this one holds together and makes perfect sense while providing a lovely overview of Govi's various playing and composing styles. Upbeat and rhythmic, this CD is full of sunshine without becoming syrupy or cloying. Many influences can be heard running through the music, but the strongest is probably Spanish guitar, and second would be slow dance. The passion in "New Dawn" and "Lover's Moon" can weaken knees! Those are my two favorite tracks, but I also really like the fun of "Tears of Joy" and "Magellan's Beat". "Torero" smolders, "Sailing Away" drifts peacefully, and "Sangria" is light and bubbly. Melodic and accessible, this is great music for a romantic picnic or a garden party. It is complex enough to be completely involving, but smooth enough for a backdrop for other activities. "Your Lingering Touch" is excellent from start to finish!"
