CD ReviewsRetro-pop, weird but fab Eric Van Lustbader | New York, NY United States | 10/27/2009 (4 out of 5 stars) "Leave it to the Brits to deconstruct '50's American pop, run it through a Cuisinart and come up with something unique. There isn't a bad track on this CD, except for "Shakes," which in my opinion should have been left off. BTW, the iTunes version of the album includes an added track, "Locked Up My Head," which is well worth having. This band doesn't sound like anyone else, which is a major plus these days of cookie-cutter acts all trying to sound like "American Idol" contestants. The vocals are fluid and happy-making without being at all sugary. Take a listen and judge for yourselves. This is a quirky, offbeat, but finally, very satisfying CD. And, yes, you can dance to it."
