Synopsis

Product Description
Godfrey is one of the hottest young comedians on the horizon. He started off in his hometown of Chicago with his conversational style, which often includes jokes about everyday activities like riding the subway or watching sports. In addition to his film and television work, Godfrey is one of the most dominant comedic presences on the New York comedy scene where he is often in demand as both a host and standup guest star.

CD Reviews

Keep Clappin for Godfrey
Niko the Ruff Ryda | crunk | 04/08/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This guy is hysterical, he will keep you laughing the entire time. He is by far the hottest young comedian on the horizon with an impressive resume of film, television & standup work at some of the most reputable comedy clubs in LA and NYC. And YES he is the guy from the 7 up '7up yours' advertising campaign."
Skip it - not funny, poorly recorded

"I was hopeful going into this because I liked the stuff Godfrey did on the VH1 "I love the xxx" shows and video clips I'd seen of his stand-up. Very disappointed. Most of his stuff comes off as hackey and tired. The only bright bits are the ones involving his African father. The rest are played out. Beware of any comic who repeatedly says "I say the things you won't" or "I don't give a f*, I'll say anything" or "I'm from New York, so I don't care what anyone thinks". If they have to tell you, then the material doesn't stand on its own - and his doesn't. Also, very poorly recorded. Terrible sound levels. You go from cranking up the volume because you can't hear him, to getting blown out by his too-loud screaming, which doesn't work either. Wish I'd have skipped this one."
