"When I heard that Goblin was contributing to Dario Argento's new movie and that the CD was issued I was a little apprehensive about the whole thing; both produced their best work when collaborating together but that was almost twenty years ago. They couldn't possibly reach such a high standard today.Boy was I wrong!!!This may very well be Goblin's best recording yet! I totally agree with the other reviewer about the Death Farm Animals segment but you know what? There isn't a bad track on this CD! It's very modern sounding yet timeless. It's hard to believe these guys haven't been together for over twenty years! Even if you're just a casual fan of Goblin don't let this CD slip through your fingers (as I almost did). You'd be missing out, big time! Now if Dario's movie is as good as this soundtrack......Come on U.S. distributers! Get off your butts and start treating Dario's films and American audiences with some respect!"
Review - Nonhosonno

"This new soundtrack is truly a work of art, Goblin reunited by Dario Argento for his new film Nonhosonno (sleepless). The music is fantastic Goblin's best to date. The recording mixed by Simonetti and Pignatelli is of excellent quality and crystal clear. Let me say a few words about the limited edition digipak. It features a fold out cover with a written intro by Dario and another by Goblin. It also features 4 snapshots of the band members with their corresponding signatures, truly magnificent. The packing and artwork is superb to say the least. A last word on the music itself, it's reminiscent of Phenomena and Suspiria, lots of heavy riffs and cool synths also Antonio Marangolo plays saxophone on track 5. Goblin are back and they're bad!"
This soundtrack album is out of this world!

"This is a quite remarkable recording from Goblin, the prog rock group who have scored many of Dario Argento's films and projects. The soundtrack is quite breathtaking and the group are especially great on their instruments. This soundtrack really does deliver. The album consists of the main theme which is absolutely brilliant, a use of sythesizers and heavy guitar riffs and a number of different animal titles from a section called Death Farm. The band have been around since the 70's but you wouldn't think they had been away a single day, the music is full of vitality and is especially exciting and thrilling. Tracks such as Killer on the Train are menacingly brilliant, with heavy guitars and synths. This album is rock, some of it is quite heavy but it also includes softer melodies with some relaxing piano and sax. Overall a great return to form from Italian rock group Goblin and Dario Argento. I can only give top marks."
