COMPLETELY BLOWN AWAY AND UTTERLY AMAZED - A SOPHOMORE MASTE

"I have been reading about Glow for the last couple of years and have been routinely checking out their album reviews on Amazon, but had never gotten around to purchasing any of their CDs. When I saw this, their most recent album, it for some reason spurred my purchase of all their albums to date; I picked up this one as well as "Rain Theory" and "Gabriel". I am so happy that I made this purchase, so much so that I am actually very disappointed that I did not buy "Gabriel" and "Rain Theory" a long time ago. Oh, the lost hours Glow-induced bliss.

This album is so incredibly beautiful and moving, that it is frankly kind of difficult to even describe. The music is gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous - an utterly hypnotizing swirl of bubbling synthpop, sweeping trip-hop, and moody orchestral electronica. And the vocals? Brilliant. Brooke Edwards' voice is perfection beyond belief. Classically beautiful, yet dark and edgy. Smooth, sexy, and deeply emotive. She has quickly become one of my favorite vocalists.

I completley recommend this album without the slightest reservation to any self-respecting music lover, but particularly to fellow fans of synthpop, trip-hop, and/or any other genre of electronica. Add this one to your collection, immediately, along with their EP "Gabriel" and their first full length album "Rain Theory". If you are already a fan of Glow, please be assured that there is absolutely no sophomore disappointment to be found here. This one is easily equally as good as, if not even better, than "Rain Theory"."
This band deserves more recognition!

"Only 2 other people have reviewed this CD?? Why do talented bands like this go under the radar while millions eat up the latest junk spit out by the record corporations??? oh well...

This CD is flat out amazing. The lead singer... I have no words to describe how beautiful her voice is. It is so enchanting... Accompanying her wonderful voice is some of the best synth-pop (don't know how else to describe it) music I've ever heard. Almost every song on here is pure ear candy. The songs are for the most part very mellow, but I'm a mellow person so I absolutely love it! :)

Highlights are: End Of Me, Lost, Alive, River Deep... oh forget it, the whole album is a highlight. *sigh*.... Did I mention I love this CD?"
