The Album that Can't be put Down
Jager | Missouri, USA | 04/24/2006
(5 out of 5 stars)

"A band that caught me by surprise. This album is like food for my soul. I practically live on it now. It is that good. I cannot put this album down and always keep going back to it. They are awsome in lyrics, guitars, bass, drums and everything they do. They are "perfectionists" and this album (their first) shows it. I haven't seen a band that performs this good. Some have come close, but it is as if this band has no flawed songs. My ranking of the songs are the following:

Romantic Devastation

Voice of Sanity

People Show

The Answer

Wandering Eyes

Bloodwine

Wearing Skin

Burn

Wearing Skin

If you like metal this is your band. They have been the best band I have ever heard. I can listen to this album over and over and over and never get bored with it. The best song by far is "Romantic Devastation" because of its pure energy and great vocals. My second favorite song is "Voice of Sanity." This song first starts off hard and sounds like it won't be up to what most of the other songs have sounded so far. However, the deeper you get in the better it gets, from mid to the end completely blew my mind. It really shows what talent that Gizmachi has. All of their songs are great. This has been the best band I have heard in a very long time and I personally do not think any metal band comes close to performing an album as good as these guys. This cd has been in my cd player for 4 months now and still going strong.

To sum it up... If you like metal or like pure energy music, this is the album for you. I call this album "The Album that Can't be put Down" because it is that good. I hope to see another album from them soon."
Totally decent for a new promising band.

"I completely disagree with whoever said that they have heard GIZMACHI's sound before. This album is very promising considering that this is this bands first effort. Their sound is as heavy as I've heard, clearly taking some elements from Meshuggah, and some others from bands like Chimaria which are more metalcore oriented. Considering the huge number of metalcore acts appearing every month, I think it's fair to say that GIZMACHI's sound is unique as a heavy band that does not fit with the commonly known conception of the genre.

THE ANSWER, the opening track, is interesting as it marks what the album might feel like. WANDERING EYES (track 2), picks it up letting the listener know what the band is about. It's at this point that one understands the concept behind GIZMACHI. But the best song in this CD is surely ROMANTIC DEVASTATION. WEARING SKIN might be the weakest point of THE IMBUING. It is actually difficult deciding which songs really stand out, for BURN and BLOODWINE are preety awesome as well.

I've enjoyed this album, probably the best I've heard all summer. The only aspect of it that kind of dissapointed me is that it is only 8 tracks long. I could have used a little more GIZMACHI. Definetely recommend it.

A mix of NU Metal and Death Metal make a pleasent surpise

"Gizmachi's "The Imbuing" is a treat to listen to, espically since alot of NU Metal seems to be rather stale these days. Gizmachi's vocalist does an excellent job on vocals (I am sorry, I dont have the Disc in front of me, and I cannot remember his name) but he almost brings a "Death" Metal feel to the vocal, unlike some Nu Metal which uses the traditional yell. Even though not perfect, its still a great buy for the price and it has its share of solid songs to make it a strong album. I am hoping that this band is still together, since I couldnt find them on the web, but I havent tried myspace music yet. They bring a good combination of styles to their music which should be a treat for all heavy metal fans."
