"Do not let the Catholic "Santoa" names at the end of each Orishas name fool you. This cd, is traditional, toques and cantos used in the Cuban Lucumi Ramas to invoke, and please the ancient African Gods, know collectivly as orishas. As traditionally sung in Bembes, or Feast to the Gods, the cd starts with the invocation to Eleggua, also known as Eshu. He is called forth first because with Eleggua lies all the mysteries of prosperity and blessings. It is Eleggua who unlocks the doors of the Spiritual realms, and allows for the manifestation of the other Orishas. After the canto to Eleggua, the next to be invoked and called forth is Oggun, lord of truth, and clearer of the way. Then to Iroco, Lord of the Sacred Trees of the earth. If you like Lazaro Ros, whom may I add is the living voice of the Gods themselves, then you will really like this. Highly Recomended."
