"I own this cd for 15 years and appreciate it very high. Clear sound and rhythm, sensitive drive, and no orchestra at all! I'm piano player and have played this piece of music myself. Belive me or not, sisters Labeque are true performers."

"Gershwin often wrote his works for 2 pianos and went through them with Oscar Levant. I am very particular about Gershwin recordings and am VERY disappointed that the Levant/Whiteman recordings for Columbia have never appeared on CD and only once on LP.

Please ignore the reviewer who called these recordings crap. These recordings are the best I have heard in a very long time. These ladies do understand this music and have a true Jazz/Ragtime AND concert music backround which is nessessary to play Gershwin."
