"...and at prices like these for classicals, one should stock up on these Point Classics.I have this because I love "Rhapsody in Blue" and here is a presentable rendition, however, I prefer it boozy and bluesy and just a bit easier...this orchestra gets points for their technical proficiency and virtuosity, but sometimes it seems as if they are attacking the work as if there were a time restraint that the recording engineers put on them and it is more brassy than it is tempered with strings...."An American in Paris" is a better sounding piece here. And those piano concertos are just idiosyncratic enough to be pleasurable. A nice CD for a few bucks..."
