Gerald Miller delivers a strong offering of warm vocals and jazzy guitar on his debut CD recording, Personal Passions. Gerald is joined by soloists, Kevin Flournoy on keyboards and Rodney Taylor on saxophone. There are 8 songs with vocals and 3 three fully instrumental. The CD bespeaks of Gerald?s three decades as a singer, guitarist, composer and arranger. The music is contemporary jazz and r&b with vocals or "smooth jazz" as deejays would call it. There is a good range of themes to appreciate on the CD; some romantic, some inspirational and some funky stuff ? all well-placed in an improvisational setting. There?s even a poly-rhythmic brazilian piece that whips in to a fast samba.
