CD Reviews

Ah Ha!
Landon Christley | SF Bay Area, CA USA | 06/07/2007
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Now I know what these pieces should sound like. While I've come close once in a while, often i've been way off, so I appreciated learning more about what Gershwin expected. Most of all, I simplyI enjoyed hearing how he brought his compositions to life. (Most pianist miss the mark, and few tackle, as piano solos or duets, some of the pieces he plays.) If you've been looking for authenticity (technical and emotional), I strongly recommend Gershwin's piano rolls collections."

"My dear George.

Your music always touches me; it always goes to the bottom of my heart, of everyone's heart.

It becomes directly from our common souls.

Ah! George, "Our love is here to stay"!"
