Breathing New Life Into Old Favorites
S. Dean | Northridge, CA United States | 02/16/2000
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Again, George Davidson has given a new life to some of the most masterful music of our time. From the moment "Lonely Ballerina" begins, the freedom and elegance reflects a romance and artistry few musicians can tap into. Davidson's gift for seemingly effortless passion in the ascending and descending of the melody show off his inherent gift for songwriting. After all, he seems to have studied the music of the masters, the sobering and yet majestic strains of "I Dreamed A Dream" from Les Miserables are worth noting. Even the familiar "Aubrey", made popular by Bread in the '70s is treated with fairness, warmth, and courage. A fantastic performance from Mr. Davidson. I can't wait to see his career as a pianist to take flight in popular society."
"For the Love of Music" piano album by George Davidson

"I love good piano music and George Davidson has a beautiful touch with all that he has published. If you buy one album you will probably buy more. I have purchased all that he has published, about 9 albums. They are all equally great and equally soothing. George records on a Yamaha Grand Piano and his recordings sound very close to the Yamaha C7 Grand Piano playing midi song files on its Disklavier Mark IV player system. So, the recording quality is superb."
