I was a little disappointed in a few songs and then other songs I really liked... So, depends on your taste I guess.

Another great record from Gemma!

"Here's another great record from Gemma Hayes. I've enjoyed all of her previous outings. It's criminal that neither this new one nor the stunning The Roads Don't Love You are available through a domestic label. The masses should be feeding on these spare, tender songs. Excellent organic pop with feeling. Highly recommended to fans of Stina Nordenstam, Nina Persson, and Sam Phillips."

"Promoting her new album, The Hollow of Morning, Irish singer-songwriter Gemma Hayes opened for Joe Jackson at his show here in Boulder last week. (When she took the stage she introduced herself by saying, "Hi. I'm Joe Jackson." Unfortunately, as the opening act, Gemma's gifted singing was wasted on many in the audience.) For those unfamiliar with her music, in 2005 Hayes received the Best Irish Female Artist award at the 2006 Meteor Ireland Music Awards, and her song "Two Step" (from The Roads Don't Love You) was featured in Season 2 of Grey's Anatomy. The Hollow of Morning is her third album. It features the hit singles, "Out of Our Hands" and "Home," and backing vocals from Irish singer-songwriter, Joe Chester. There is much to like about Hayes' heartfelt singing, soaring melodies, and unique voice on The Hollow of Morning. The album's ten tracks include:

1. This Is What You Do 5:00

2. Out of Our Hands 3:41

3. January 14th 1:32

4. Home 3:11

5. In Over My Head 3:41

6. Chasing Dragons 3:56

7. Don't Forget 3:47

8. Sad Ol Song 3:17

9. At Constant Speed 6:10

10. Under a Canopy 2:10
