"Buy this album just to listen to the orchestration alone. If that's not enough to intrigue you, imagine a Scandanavian cross between Prokofieff's Scythian Scuite and Janacek's Sinfonietta. Contains more ostinatos than all the rest of Norweigian music put together. Would fit right in with AC/DC or Metallica ("Exit night, enter Baldur"). Heck, it's worth the money even for just the "filler", the 26-minute cantata Telemarkin, which while dynamic in its own right is more notable for its sensuous beauty and some fiddle writing that would make Mark O'Connor proud."
