Synopsis

Album Description
The Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles shares the wonder of the holiday season, with traditional carols, popular holiday tunes, and original compositions created especially for Christmas. Guest vocal artist Adelaide Sinclair joins the 140 voice male ensemble along with renowned instrumentalists Don McInnes and Earle Dumler for GMCLA's finest studio work to date. This 1998 recording is the newest of the chorus's enormously popular holiday CDs, also joined by "Don We Now," recorded in 1996.

CD Reviews

Always puts me in the Christmas Spirit
Edward R. Fette | Los Angeles | 12/22/2004
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I gave this CD to my sister's daughter in 1998 who was 9 years old at the time. A few months later, while visiting my sister I heard the cd playing and my sister told me that her daughter played the cd constantly and that "Hollywood Christmas" was her favorite track. I collect Christmas CD's and this is one of my favorites in all my collection. I'm sure those of you who buy this CD won't be disappointed. It's a very nice collection of music of the season. My Favorite piece is "La Virgen Lava Panales" with mezzo-soprano soloist Adelaide Sinclair. It's a very haunting and beatiful piece, espcially with the English horn instrumental."
