CD Reviews

"Serenade" by Gary Schnitzer
William Winston Newbill, Esq. | Dallas, TX United States | 10/24/2002
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Gary Schnitzer's latest recording "Serenade" is perhaps his best so far. The recording technique combined with the high quality and moving violin parts are just magnificent. I like all of the songs on "Serenade" but my personal favorite is the haunting and beautiful civil war piece "Ashokan Farewell." The guitar and accordian parts add immensely to the quality of this recording as well. This is one of the best arrangements of these instruments I've heard in years. Bravo, you can't go wrong making this recording a part of your collection."

Led by his confident violin the listening experience took my heart to another level. There is definately something for everyone to get out of this recording. It makes the young at heart a bit wiser, and the older soul young at heart. Music is a gift and upon opening my Serenade C.D. I found that Gary had given the gift back to me..."
