CD Reviews

Unbelievably Romantic
Michael Palmer | Dallas, TX United States | 01/07/2002
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I like to buy romantic CD's to listen and help me do creative writing as well listen to with a special woman in my life. This particular CD, Rhapsody, contains some of the most enchanting, romantic music on one CD I have ever heard. You will recognize so many of the melodies. The artist, Gary Schnitzer, plays the violin with such passion which comes across on the CD, you'd almost swear he is playing live before you. This is a must buy for the true romantic."
Fan letter

"The following is an unsolicited fan letter to the artist regarding the CD, "Rhapsody":Gary, Sorry this is SO long of an entry, but I always wanted to tell you about my experience with Rhapsody... Back in March of 97, I was in the Dallas Galleria in a Shakespeare's bookstore, and in a rather heartbroken mood...As I was looking around at the books, your Rhapsody CD was apparently playing the background (for promotional purposes I assume) and I fell head over heels in love with it and stayed for the whole CD to finish playing. I probably spent an hour in there just listening to the whole CD. I bought a book, and left the store...and I could still hear the beautiful music in the background as I left. I instantly turned around and went back in and anxiously asked for a copy of Rhapsody. I just knew that I had to have it. The music healed me of my pain, and I constantly listen to the CD every chance that I can because it makes me feel so in love. I used to play the violin in high school. I was always second chair, first violin and my best friend was always the concert mistress. I have since stopped playing..due to an unfortunate loss of my instrument. Listening to your playing makes me yearn to become a violinist again. You really play with your soul, and select such beautiful pieces to play. Everytime I listen to "Somewhere in Time", I am always on the verge of tears because it sounds so sad and emotional.....Once again, you're a brilliantly gifted violinist and keep up the beautiful work! Most Sincerely... Rosalyn(this unsolicited online guestbook entry is submitted by the artist, Gary Schnitzer)"

"Some of the best voilin music I've heard. His rendition of Somewhere Over the Rainbow brings tears to my eyes. Deeply emotional album that pulls at your heart strings."
