UK two CD reissue of this album from the former Quicksilver Messenger Service guitarist. For a period from the mid-'80s through to the '90s and beyond, Gary Duncan led his own band Quicksilver and released a number of albums. Shapeshifter Volumes 1 & 2 was the first album to bear the Quicksilver name for 10 years when it was originally released in 1996. The album bears the hallmark that is unmistakably Quicksilver. Shapeshifter Volumes 1 and was originally available as a double album but more recently has been available as two single albums. This reissue brings the two volumes together once more as they were on the original release. On this album Gary Duncan is joined by fellow Quicksilver Messenger Service member David Freiberg and former Sly And The Family Stone drummer Greg Errico. Elsewhere there are appearances from Santana's Raul Rekow and War's Lee Oskar.
