Garrett J. Brown is a self taught singer/songwriter from Vermont. He is an accomplished visual artist, published writer and a senior in high school where he maintains high honors. He has won numerous awards for citizenship and gathering community through his music He was introduced to the CD collection of his parents at a young age, from then on he began to develop a profound respect and passion for all things musical. As a young eight year old, his parents introduced him to piano. However; his true calling didn't come until he picked up a guitar for the first time at age 11. Soon after he began experimenting with songwriting and developing his own musical style. On December 31st 2008, he won the Burlington First Night Rising Star competition with his original song "Passerby". Since that time he has played and continues to play summer concerts, weddings, school functions, private parties, and benefit concerts. His influences include Jason Mraz, John Mayer, Jack Johnson and the Dave Matthews Band. His first studio album entitled "Priorities" was released on June 21, 2011.
