The first new album from truly legendary soul singer GARNET MIMMS. Best known for his original rendition of CRY BABY - later a major hit for JANIS JOPLIN, After a string of albums in the 60's for United Artists, MIMMS moved to the Verve label where he recorded a number of singles and then retired from the music industry. Producer JOHN TIVEN persuaded Mimms to return to the studio and record this new set, a collection of songs mostly written by Tiven and his favourite co-writers who include DAN PENN, SPOONER OLDHAM Special guests include P.F.SLOAN, FELIX CAVALIERE, BUDDY MILLER and MARTY BROWN.
