CD Reviews

Amazing Band
James W Kyer | Stratford, CT USA | 05/11/2002
(5 out of 5 stars)

"G Soul is absolutely amazing. Their style is hard to classify, more of a blend of metal, a little rap, soul and hardcore. I got hooked on them at their live shows here in Connecticut, and I can't stop listening to them. The lead singer Kris Keyes sings with unbeliveable passion, in a wide range from a delicate whisper to a primal howl... its music to really get you going. My favorite songs are "Deep Cover" and "Jacob". The lyrics on all the songs are obviously well written, and very deep, with a lot of meaning. I always come away with a good feeling after listening to Gargantua Soul. I whole heartedly recomend this CD and all their others... if you like metal or hardcore, you will absoultely love G Soul."
Impact Holds More Than One Hit

"This CD is amazing! The best part about this is the band isn't signed to any label! This is their work! Produced by a band member, this CD is incredibly crafted for this type of indie band. The music execs must be losing their touch (along with their money) HAHA!!! The first track got me going. It's a powerful song. The second track was better, which had me more excited than ever! Then the 3rd track, Far Away, is even better! The disc has gems all over it like, About Earth, Heavy and dirgy yet melodic and meaningful. The song called Gargantua is hard and heavy, to pretty, than back to hard and heavy! The disc is great..so is this band!"
