Synopsis

Product Description
All new music from the duo who brought you Ramblin Irishman and In the Moon of Wintertime. You will also find a few tracks with new lyrics for traditional songs and tunes that you'll agree are wonderfully extended with poetry and new arrangements. Each song and tune on this CD has been lovingly crafted and performed. Have a listen to... Musical Dreams from muse that often brings lucid dreams filled with music and mystery in the early morning twilight. Aint No Easy came to mind as we were pedaling our bicycles up the steep Combs Canyon Road in Carson City, Nevada. As Long as You are Mine - a fun little whimsey. Sleeping With Tom recalls the serene feeling of awakening together each morning. Valse à Mary adds lyrics to the tune of the French accordion maker musician Bernard Loffet. Sleep Sings Along arrived in a dream the morning after Valentine s Day. A Coyote Party came from the racket of coyotes yipping one morning just outside our cabin at Lake Tahoe. Amanda - inspired by the name of our lovely young friend and fellow Renaissance faire performer. Her Secret Mystery tells a tale full of feminine fantasy. The Mountain Sea (The Lake Tahoe Song) - the first song I ever wrote. After Youve Gone - inspired by a phone conversation with Mom. Go Ask The Rain filled my thoughts after 9/11. This song is on our youtube site, and you can see the video there by searching for it. Just Like Me is a sad but loyal tale indeed. Mr. Potato Head romps through our shared memories as baby boomers! (Mr. Potato HeadTM is a registered trademark of Hasbro, Inc.) Good Morning to You My Sweetheart is for all of us children. If You Need a Friend fills the air with play and hope. You Are My Sunshine/Mary Kay s extends the most popular song of all time with my happy ending. Let Your Heart Win was inspired by a dream of four handsome Latinos singing it. Tons O Fun is that much fun to play and listen to! Give Me Your Hand adds lyrics to the traditional Irish tune by the blind harper Turlough O Carolan. The Lark in the Morning appears in an etching on a score from a hippie kind of music book! Captivated by the tune, we found it in ONeills Music of Ireland (1903 ed. Lyon & Healey) and added our own lyrics. Up to Me is another of the serene songs from when we were living in our cabin on the meadow at the edge of the forest near Lake Tahoe. The Bells of Ireland - On a cold February day, we bought some greens in the Safeway floral department and that was the start of this song. Dear Friends and Gentle Hearts were the words found on a little note in the pocket of Stephen Foster, whose Gentle Annie (1856) and Beautiful Dreamer (1864) also make cameo appearances in this arrangement. ©2007 by Tom and Mary Kay Aufrance, Carson City, NV, BMI Recorded and entirely produced by Tom and Mary Kay Aufrance. Gáirín is Mary Kay Aufrance (vocals, accordion, bodhran, keyboard) and Tom Aufrance (vocals, mandolins, Irish bouzouki, 6 & 12 string guitars) On our site aufrance.com/gairin you will also find the lyrics and sound samples for all songs on Musical Dreams.
