BE CAREFUL!!!!!

"I'VE FOUND THAT MANY CDS OF HOT PRODUCTIONS ARE CD-R'S, I BOUGHT THIS ONE FROM FLORIDA DISKS AND ONE FROM ULTIMATE FROM MOVIEMARS AND THEY ARE CD-R'S THIS JUST HAPPEN ONLY WITH HOT PRODUCTIONS I DECIDED FROM NOW ON TO LOOK FOR THESE CD'S IN REGULAR STORES BECAUSE THEN YOU DON'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH ALL THESE RULES OF GETTING A REFUND."
Great Italo band, but it's a CD-R

"The CD music gets 5 stars, the physical item gets 1 star. Amazon needs to alert customers that Hot Productions is only pressing CD-Rs, not real CDs. If I'm paying for music, I want quality. Otherwise, I can download from the web for free.

Shame on you."
Italodisco At its Finest

"Fun Fun is one of the most interesting of the 1980s Italodisco artists. Perhaps one of the reasons is the fact that some of their music (like their 1st LP "Have Fun!) got released in the US , something that most European based dance artists at the time can only dream of.

Released over a dozen years ago, this is a great collection of the Italian duo covering their Hi-NRG & later House recordings. However info about the contexts & their length is misleading. So I'll give you a full overview of the 11 songs, their length, where's it's from & commentary.

Color My Love (7:44): 12" Release. Fun Fun's best known song.

Living in Japan (5:13): Version taken from LP "Have Fun!" Also appears on the 12" single as a track: This was the very first song I heard from Fun Fun a decade ago & is still my favorite song from them. The extended version (at nearly 8 minutes) is even better.

Give Me Your Love (7:47): 12" Release. Also found on "Have Fun!" The lyrics are about love for a DJ. Think of it as an Italodisco/Hi-NRG "Last Night a DJ Saved My Life"

Baila Bolero (9:28): 12" Release or Baila Dance Mix. Title says it all. Hi-NRG/Italodisco with a Latin/Spanish favor. The longest song on this collection & one that will keep you dancing for its nearly 9 1/2 minute length.

Happy Station: (5:57) Version from LP "Have Fun!" This is a hybrid of both the original version & the Ben Liebrand Scratch Mix.

Gimme Some Lovin' (7:17): 12" Mix. Only Fun Fun song I know of that's a cover song. (Original preformed by the Spencer Davis Group). This is the 1st. House recording on this collection.

Could This Be Love (8:19): 12" Mix. The 2nd. House song on the set.

Give Up Your Fight (7:04): The Boxer Mix from the B Side of "Mega Hit Mix. A somewhat different version than the one from the 2nd. LP "Double Fun"

Give Me Love (5:29): 12" Release. The final House song in this collection & my favorite of the 3. By the time of its release (1989), House music was replacing Italodisco/Hi-NRG in the clubs (a Hi-NRG version of this song is on the B Side of the 12" record). This was also one of Fun Fun's last releases.

Song Another Sing (5:05): Version from LP "Have Fun!". A chill song. About as close to a slow song as you're going to get from Fun Fun. A hidden gem in a collection of mostly dance tracks.

Fun Fun Mega Hit Mix (9:07) 12" Release. Great closer to the collection & a great way to introduce new fans to the Duo. 6 of their best known songs (all which were in this set.) mixed together by a DJ.

All 11 songs on this collection are gold. Even if the disc which it comes in is not. Some reviewers have complaint about the fact that this is a CD-R. I'm give Hot Productions the benefit of the doubt, I still get the original liner notes & the online musical databases still see this a Fun Fun release. So I'm not really upset over this & neither should you. If you want good 1980s dance music, the kind that you won't hear on American radio don't let that a minor issue like rather of not it's a CD-R keep you from getting this."
