Synopsis

Product Description
Last year's limited edition 12-inch "Year Of The Pig", released on the Brooklyn label What's Your Rupture? is now available through Matador in three formats: 12-inch EP with download coupon and the two original tracks ("Year Of The Pig" and "Black Hats"); 7-inch single with "Year Of The Pig" edit and "Mustaa Lunta" with a special sleeve; CD EP with eight tracks - all the above songs plus two edits and B-sides of UK and Japanese 7-inches. This is not comforting music, but it's utterly engrossing and honest. Fucked Up have broken out of the hardcore ghetto and have rewritten the rules of the game.

CD Reviews

Great follow-up EP...a sign of what's to come?
Joseph Broze | chicago | 09/19/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"A totally great 8-song "EP" from these Canadian maniacs. As you might know, this CD contains the 18-minute male/female vocal title track...a song dedicated originally as a benefit against violence against women.

Also included on here are the COMPLETE Japanese, English, and American 45 rpm singles - A side and B side - meaning all the different edits of the A side and title track. Really cool stuff. The b-sides are all essential - especially the cover of the obscure, C86-style, Sarah Records' band, Another Sunny Day.

If you are a fan of the following bands: last rights, vivian girls, poison idea, times new viking, negative approach, crystal stilts, deerhunter, abe vigoda, no age, eat skull, atlas sound, etc, etc - THIS CDEP is for youse.

The amazing foldout insert includes all the original artwork from the vinyl and more. Go see this band, wherever you are. They will crush you."
