Turner | Houston, Texas United States | 05/02/2002 (3 out of 5 stars) "I first heard Barbara Alcindor's lilting French voice on the radio ("My Heart Goes Boom - la di da da"). I purchased this CD to see if any other tracks were worth having. This CD is better than mediocre, but not fantastic.Be warned the radio mix you hear on the radio isn't on this CD. There are two versions of "My Heart Goes Boom," the original, and a mix that is similar to the radio mix (but targeted at DJs - with a long introduction and beat-heavy transitions).In all fairness, Barbara Alcindor does have a great voice, and at some points she comes across as erotic on top of bass-driven music. Alcindor's remake of Nancy Sinatra's "These boots were made for walking" is interesting.If you like the radio mix, you are far better off seeking out the single."
