"Every song on this CD tastes like a gourmet meal. The arrangements are superb. This album is a musicians dream, especially if you like to write jazz arrangements. The quality of the recording is the best I have heard; I play it to check the performance of my stereo system."

"I first heard Freddy Cole when he played on Marian McPartland's Piano Jazz on NPR over 4 years ago. He played "I Didn't Mean to Love You," and it just about blew me away. I went out and bought this CD, and I haven't stopped buying his albums since. This CD is extraordinary in that every song is spellbinding. The Two for the Road/Close Enough for Love medley is particuarly excellent, as well as "You Don't Have to Say You're Sorry." I can't express in words how tremendously good this CD is. It's smoky vocal jazz at its finest."
