"Mixing electronic music, jazz and funk with poetry of extraordinary lyrism and imagery, Fratta had a moderate hit with his 1993 release of " Romántico Desliz." Afterwards, his discography was misteriously discontinued. I am pretty sure is was not because there was no potential there, because he is one of the most innovative musicians in the mexican scene along with Cafe Tacuba. This is a great album with a great variety of rythms, fantasy and impecable execution, featuring singer Rubén Albarrán from Café Tacuba, singer Sasha Sokol and great precussionist Sr. González. But I believe this is not the best he has to offer, which we are yet to see. It's strange and unfair he has not had the recognition he deserves. He has the potential to succed commercially and the quality is better than that of such bands as Jaguares and Maná, and there's more variety to the concepts he develops, in comparisson to this bands, which shame the mexican music scene being displayed as the only and best we have to offer. He somehow resembles Aleks Syntek, but this is much better stuff. His secret is quality, variety and innovation. These people once they have succeded they won't try another formula, as Fratta does. Buy this stuff. You'll Thank me."
