"Funky loungey funky breakbeat disco retro fun. Frank Popp Ensemble needs to be heard and in a better world this music would be all over the place. This whole album kicks, if you don't love "Love Is On Our Side" immediately you have no pulse. Big epic 60s-early-70s sound but still up to date, these guys have the chops.



Recommended for fans of: Ursula 1000, Fantastic Plastic Machine, Cassius, Nancy Sinatra, the Motown sound, the Dap Kings, if you like FUN you will like this."

"I accidentally found this cd when I was doing a search for the Cramps "Goo Goo Muck". I am a huge fan of groovy lounge music, the bossa nova sound, Quincy Jones, etc and I consider myself very lucky to stumble upon this cd. From my internet research, I understand that the group is slated to release a full album this fall and I can't wait. Until then, I'll be playing this for all of my summer parties. The FPE is getting a huge summer publicity push in the UK with a new EP. If you like what you hear, you'll also like "Ursula 1000-Kinda Kinky""
