CD ReviewsUnderappreciated gem Willaim R. Brown | Canada | 06/25/2004 (4 out of 5 stars) ""Foot" was one of the greatest Canadian rock bands of the early 70's who, sadly, never made it in the States. They combined sweet, clear singing, powerful bass, sophisticated drums, classic Hammond Organ and one of the world's most underated guitarists.
This release is also notable for the quality of the songwriting and interesting arrangements. The Canadian hit, (Make Me Do) Anything You Want is an FM classic rock staple to this day. But it is the lead guitar breaks that really stand out - a heavy, overdrive sound that is also incredibly melodic. This album is definitely a product of its times and a very enjoyable trip to take." |
