Synopsis

Album Description
Foot In The Door, which is mixed by the legendary DJ Jazzy Jeff, is a remarkable display of Oddisee's outstanding skills both behind the boards and on the mic, with an emphasis on his brilliance as an emcee. Foot In The Door features guest appearances from Freddie Foxxx, J-Live, Supastition, Asheru, Darien Brockington, Kenn Starr, Kev Brown & more, as well as production from Oddisee & Kev Brown, among others. Foot In The Door clearly establishes Oddisee as a genuine double-threat producer/emcee extraordinaire with a fresh, innovative style and a universal appeal. His brilliant flow, clever word-play, vast intellect and intriguing charisma on the mic, together with his expertise behind the boards, will undoubtedly solidify Oddisee's reputation as one of the few gifted producer/emcees who can shine equally in both forms and as one of the most talented, original and well-rounded artists of our time.

CD Reviews

Breaking down the door!
Zeke Macey | Sacramento, CA | 02/23/2007
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Oddisee manages to break down the sad state of commercial hip hop on this album. It's refreshing to hear an artist that seems to be in it for the love of the music rather than what happens to be "hot" at the time. The intro to the last song, Once Again, is just so mind blowing. There isn't a weak cut on this album. It's a mix album, so some of the songs are cut short, which is a bit of a downer. The songs/beats/rhymes are so dope it's a shame when they end short. Like I said earlier Oddisee breaks down the so called radio hip pop, but he does it in a humorous rather than preachy way. Listen to the track Radio Talk.. this album is definitely recommended."
Oddisse's Odyssey!
Lunga Shezi | South Africa | 01/09/2007
(4 out of 5 stars)

"Oddisse is undoubtable one of my favourite Producer/Mcee. He has such raw wealth of untained abilities, but with that said I would like him to grow musically and as well as an artist. This album is proof that he has serious

skillz. The flow of the tracks could have been more sound. Now I understand this is a mix album but I would have

preferred the track to be much longer.

Overall though this is a good album. Buy it!!"
Ok this ish is dope as hell!!!!!

(5 out of 5 stars)

"Who the hell is oddisee and why am I just hearing of him. Oddisee is an amazing producer/artist that kicks it with the likes of the infamous jazzy jeff! This is an amazing release that has some abosulutely dope verses accompanied by lyrics that have some intellignet thought to them. The album also is mixed by Jazzy Jeff. Hip hop needs emcees like Oddisee that love to display lyrical talent, intelligence, and creative different beats. The format of the album is set up like a mix tape so some of the songs are short. But to combat that, there are 34 tracks on the album so you have plenty of material to listen to. Cop this album ASAP!!"
