The Flood are a Sydney four-piece who walk a wide musical path through the roots/country/blues genres with well crafted, melodic songs led by Kevin Bennett's superb lyrics and exquisite vocals. The music is 'Americana' in style - in the tradition of artists like Dylan, Neil Young, The Band and the more recent Wilco and The Jayhawks - but 'always giving everything a local twist'. The Flood were named as Group of the Year at the 2006 CMAA Golden Guitar Awards in Tamworth. The Flood received country music's highest accolade for "Hello Blue Sky", the first single from their latest album "The Late Late Show".
