The band fuses Celtic-influenced folk with rock band intensity on this eight song CD. "Flying with the Spirits" a seven and a half minute high energy instrumental that takes the listener from Ireland to Latin America and then to Africa with tastes of Jamacia, all over an Afro-Cuban rythem and then returning to Ireland is quite an adventure musically. The track features Liz Knowles of the famed Riverdance on violin. The other end of the spectrum offers more acoustic based songs like "The Dragon" which is about Robert The Bruce of Scotland, and "The Dream of the Moonstone" a tribute to the great Jerry Garcia featuring Howard Leese of the band Heart on guitar, presenting the more acoustic side of Finn MacCool. The songs are about mystical and spiritual themes; Finn MacCool is not the stereotypical drinking song, Irish rock band.
