Synopsis

Album Description
Deriving their moniker from slang for a used condom, Filthy Jim is "sex, drugs and rock?n?roll to fill your hole...a violent train wreck of raw guitars and heavy rhythms that supply a truckload of drunken rock fury." Formed in Lawrence, KS in 1997, team FJ has been through a long string of personnel changes until finally nailing down its iron four: Cooper Moon, Seth Cole, Steve Hammond and Luke Parde. After seven years, hundreds of shows, four vans, fifteen tours, ten members and approximately three thousand cases of beer, Filthy Jim has finally struck a chord in the rock?n?roll underground. After successfully hooking up with Seattle?s own Dead Teenager Records (Zeke, Speedealer) at this year?s SXSW festival in Austin, Filthy Jim releases their second full-length, Ride With Death: eight songs in 33 minutes that get the job done and done well. Next on Filthy Jim?s plate will be conquering Europe, a project that has been simmering on the back burner for way too long. The Kansas-bred farm boys feel this is a very promising outlet and want to drill it to the wall with a full-scale tour and blown-out promotions as they round the corner into the year 2005.
