Some of the most traditional persian folkloric music are arranged with background orchestration to introduce a larger audience to the world of persian music. Four of the tracks are Farzad's original compositions and the rest of the six tracks are modified Persian folkloric music. "It is said that the ancient Persian musicians would be called upon to calm the fevered brow of the King. The best of them could create music that would make the listener smell roses. The Persian way is the way of mystic passion, the depth of the heart in search of God. Farzad dives deeply into that heart to expose to the world the best of what is there.
Farzad belongs to a religion which has been hounded and persecuted with deadly intent for over one hundred fifty years. It is a peaceful religion called Baha'i. The search for the Manifestation of God is ongoing and profound among Baha'is. It is the reaching out for the hands of all human beings in peace and love. Farzad plays with that emotion. He soars with eagles and sings with nightingales. His is indeed the music of the heart. I dare you to listen and not weep."
