CD Reviews

A refreshing step in the melodic direction
Steven Wallace | springy dingy, MO MO | 10/27/2007
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Gone are the days of genre mixing and splitting and melding for far-less. now their defined sound of being a mixture of every sound available has been dropped for a sound that is uniquely and refreshing just far-less. please do not get me wrong... I loved "everyone is out to get us" but, truly, it was an album of far-less showing us every side of their musical and vocal abilities and that was (for some) way to scatter brained.

this new album is melodic, pretty, and just plain awesome.

Adding "bitsy" on keyboards and Todd on drums (ray left on mutual terms) simply enhanced their songwriting abilities. the songs are now more layered, more textured, but more simply great in song structure.

This album is not for the emo or the screamo or the hardcore...

this album is for those who love unique and refreshing melodic rock with a little bit of a rougher side but nothing that leans towards "-core".

do yourself a favor and buy your ears this album!

"gentlemen... go to sleep" best of the album! no doubt"
So good

"Far-less refuse to "fit the mold" on their 2nd full length album. When I heard the band would be adding a pianist I knew we were in for something special, and indeed, we were. The combination of the bands straightforward rocking with the underlying piano is just excellent. At times, unusual, but never in a bad way.

This album is a fantastic piece of music which caters to no specific "scene" but instead, remains true to itself. The production quality (as with almost all T&N bands) is top-notch.

Its a shame bands like this aren't more popular, but in a way, thats sort of a good thing sometimes :)

Great CD from a fantastic band.

A Toast To Awesomeness

"Everything that Far-Less has released (Broken Hearts Unite, Turn To The Bright EP, Everyone Is Out To Get Us) has stood on its own two feet, being easily distinguished from the others. On this album Far-Less, in their words, "mature musically" and abandon the overdone melodic screaming and write music as they feel it should be. Just like "The Everglow" by Mae, "Silence" by Blindside, "Drawing Black Lines" by Project 86, "I Am Hollywood" by He Is Legend, "The Weak's End" by Emery, or "Phenomenon" by Thousand Foot Krutch, ATTBT is an album that Far-Less, or just about any other band for that matter, will have trouble even coming close to outdoing. This is an album worth owning."
