"This is an excellent CD. After the opening selection, Aaron Copland's "Fanfare for the Common Man", the title piece and probably the best fanfare ever written, starts your adrenaline pumping, the remaining selections are of sufficient compositional and performance quality to maintain your level of excitement. Beside the Copland and two compositions by director, Richard Harvey, the remaining selections are from the 16th and 17th centuries; however, the ensuing years have done nothing to dull their shine."
