42-track, 2CD anthology of the cult indie band, incl indie hits, alt versions and new songs.Family Fodder are a group of musicians based around Alig, often with French singer Dominique. They're best known for indie-chart hits such as 'Debbie Harry', 'Playing Golf' and 'Savoir Faire'. Since their initial releases from 1979 to 1983 they've regrouped a number of times, with releases on the US Dark Beloved Cloud label. Described variously as 'sounding like a precursor to Stereolab', 'entertaining idiosyncratic experimentalism' ('Who's Who of Indie and New Wave'), and 'turning arty abstraction into astonishingly delightful thinking man's bubblegum' (CMJ New Music News).
