"The Faceless has released an outstanding album that's absolutely worth checking out. The band specializes in technical death metal in the melodic vein. What do I mean by that? Well, I was listening to this CD and it reminded me of groups like Cynic, Bloodbath, Opeth, Meshuggah, Death, and Soilwork... oh, and with a touch of black metal, too. Bottom line: It's technical, but it has its melodic parts and is absolutely musical (unlike the technical death metal that's purely noise.)



I recommend this to fans of metal. I highly recommend it to fans of extreme metal or any of the groups I may have listed above."

This band sounds spaced out.

"The Faceless sounds as if it came from outer space. the vocals are a blend of clean vocals, death growls, and singing in a vocorder. they are a combination of death metal and deathcore with a hint of jazz now and then. I honestly don't know where this band originates, but they are so cool and so original. I hope this band releases a new album soon. from what I can see, they blaze an all new trail to follow. all I can recommend is if you haven't gotten the 1st album, you should do so immediately, which I may try to do. this is the most upbeat death metal band I have listened to, and the most spaced out, as well. I wonder what other bands on the Sumerian label have up their sleeves, because I am going to be trying more of them out."
