CD Reviews

I understand about the demos but the live tracks could have
Waleed J. Alsuwaimel | Saudi Arabia | 07/24/2005

"I don't mind low-fi, but the demos are barely listenable. they sound like a C+ quality bootleg. (I understand these must were recorded in the very early era of the band. probably using 1 mic)

Now with that alright or not, the live tracks filling the rest of the entire CD doesn't seem to had been finely selected.

Unlike the live tracks on their recent release (Preaching The End-Time Message) which are pretty impressive! The new CD also has 3 new EHG songs, check the official emetic records website for complete info. amazon don't have it, i ordered my copy from stonerrock dot com."

"i first heard eyehate god back in the late 90s i was pretty young. i bought take as needed for pain and was absoulutley blown away. there music has the rare ability to dredge up the darkness and sickness from the pits of your own inner hell. whenever i hit the play button and eyehategod blares from the speakers i know my day is about ot get a hell of a lot more intense and anyone who i dont like is going to get a contemptous fa-q. there music is so slow hateful and havey they are the most amazing band out there. i wouldnt recomend this album to first time listenners but for fans of eyehategod this is essential. it really gives you the live experience and lets you hear the band in there true form. during the live tracks from europe when mike was talking berfore or after a song you really get a look at who these guys are. there just regular guys kind of remind me of me and my friends in a lot of ways. you really feel closer to the music after listening to this. and eyehategod live are unrivaled with there energy and what not. also this has some otherwise hard to find songs you will only get here so as i said for fans of eyehategod your really fu**ing yourself over if you dont own this"
Sludge kings live and rare

""10 years" is loaded with great rare tracks by the sludge kings of NOLA. The introduction by Alicia is remarkable and the pics are great. The songs go w/out saying. I must say that I enjoy the live material from Europe a lot, its a very good recording and Mikes new vocal style sounds great. The demos are interesting and the song selection is good. I recommend it to anyone already familiar w/ EHG, it is definitely a great addition to any fans rec collection. If you are unfamiliar, you should try some of their previous releases first ("Confederacy of Ruined Lives", "Dopesick", "Take As Needed For Pain", "In the Name of Suffering"), it would help you to appreciate this album even more."
