Synopsis

Album Description
Long hailed as the band that spawned the burgeoning Bay Area Thrash scene in the early `80s, Exodus are one of the longest-running and most influential American metal bands. The key to their tenacity and one of their best qualities is that the word `surrender' has never existed in lead guitarist/ songwriter/General-In-Chief Gary Holt's vocabulary. Surviving decampment, death, untimely disaster, dejection, and drug abuse, Exodus have become an anomaly in the metal world. A band that can conquer over 20 years of successes and setbacks and come out a stronger and meaner version of their former selves is virtually unheard of, but Exodus are a living testament to perseverance! The past few years have been a steady climb for the band, and tours with Megadeth, Testament, Arch Enemy, Hatebreed, and Kreator have proven to the newer thrashers that there's nothing dated about their approach. Exhibit B is a more than worthy successor to The Atrocity Exhibition, and will blow minds and redefine thrash for fans old and new!

The New Atrocity

"After tours with Kreator, Arch Enemy, Testament, and Megadeth among others, a re-recording of Bonded By Blood, and the release of their live cd/dvd back in January, Exodus have finally returned with Exhibit B: The Human Condition, the continuation of The Atrocity Exhibition. The long wait was certainly worth it as the band has proven once again that they can deliver. Where Exhibit A was dark and thrashy, and even had more groove elements, Exhibit B is even darker and more epic with more longer tracks averaging around 7 minutes (the longest track is 9 minutes and 32 seconds), and even fewer moments to catch your breath. Thrash metal and Exodus fans take notice: Exodus is back."

"Gary Holt is da man!!! This bastid keeps on churning out memorable and exciting riffs w/each release. The songs are super long on this relese w/the cd clocking in at a whopping 78minutes. It is a lot to take in, luckily the band does not repeat the riffs so many times. This is the best that Dukes has ever sounded. He sounds very similiar to Zetro on this, coupled w/his own distinct snarl. Drumming is decent, Hunting is reliable, but does not do anything out of the ordinary here. The Sneap production is crunchy, clear and precise. Solos are the best Altus and Holt have done together, easily. The more I listen to this the more I think I like it better than Exhibit A. For now if you have liked the new incarnation of Exodus since 2004 there is no reason you would not like this. Buy or Die!!"
