Synopsis

Album Description
Everthus the Deadbeats follow up their critically acclaimed EP with their first fulllength album. John Kill & The Microscopic Lullaby features lush, ornate orchestration coupled with impertinent lyrics and a robust emphasis on the album's concept. After the release of their debut EP, Addicts Stuck In Traffic, Everthus the Deadbeats spent the last year heavily touring and promoting the release, and have built an impressive fan base. The band plans to build upon this base with constant touring throughout 2008 and a strong focus on tour, radio, and retail promotion.

CD Reviews

Like Mike Patton? Chances are...

"...you'll like this too. After hearing Everthus the Deadbeats play live at a little hole-in-the wall in my town, I sprung for a copies of both the EP and their album. I would have told you I enjoyed the EP slightly more than "John Kill and the Microscopic Lullaby", but the more I listen to it, the more it grows on me. The band's music is similar to some of Mike Patton's work, especially in Mr. Bungle, though the instruments used, lyrics and vocals in "John Kill" are taking the Deadbeats in their own, wonderful direction, with a sound unlike any other. If their music keeps evolving the way it seems to be, the next album they release should be a great adventure."
Freak Pop - Good Stuff!!

"This album takes you on a journey from the sublime to the ridiculous. Thought provoking lyrics, sweet lullabies, and downright scary stuff!! Intermixed in all of this is a strange feel of the Beach Boys "Smile" album material with a smattering of the Kinks' Ray Davies. Nice packaging with lyrics provided...worth following along on the trip. Great for headphone listening! Original feel and hard to categorize. "Freak Pop" and "Circus Rock" are fairly good handles. Highly recommended!"
