CD Reviews

Surprisingly Good

"I picked up this CD because a friend of mine recommended it to me. Since the artist was from BEC records, I wasn't sure what to expect. From the beginning to the end, I was totally amazed at their sound. Some might say that they just sound like any other band, which is true in a few ways, but not in others. Their sound is pure and their words come from the heart. In a way, they remind me of an acoustic version of fellow BEC singer Jeremy Camp. I would strongly advice that you try out this CD. You will be amazed at their sound."
Liked from the first time I heard it

"My son bought their CD in 2003, and I have listened to it countless times. I read a review that said they didn't have enough "new" sound to distinguish them from Big Tent Revival, Bid Daddy Weave and Third Day. I say bologna! They are a very talented group of musicians, and their vocals are excellent. Brad Miles, the lead singer has a great voice, and the others add tastefull harmonies and parts.

I believe their strength is the ballad, and they really shine on "Providence", "Not Alone", "Believe", "Miracle" and "December", but also excel on up-tempo tunes like "I Will Remember", "You Are", "Still Waiting" and "Around" .

As a musician, I listen closely to the music, and I am very impressed with their dynamics, and ability to make a song "live", especially on the ballads, this can't be said for all bands. The acoustic guitars are fantastic, and they keys are perfectly placed with a great variety of piano, strings, pads and organs.

I actually like Everman better then the bands I mentioned before, and if you like those bands, then give these guys a shot too, you won't be dissapointed. I am just totally bummed that they haven't made more CD's since 2003. It doesn't appear they have a website, but I would encourage them to continue with what they started. I would buy their next CD site unseen!"

"i met these guys when they were touring around in may '03, and i gotta say that the hearts they have for God, their outgoing personalities, and their overall style really reflect in the lyrics and the music on this album. i was really blown away by how much i got hooked on this music! it's an upbeat acoustic pop style of music with lyrics written from an honest point of view. i would recommend this album highly to all who are looking for something that has a uniqueness about it."
